- As a local coordinator for the Obama campaign, I was struck by how many people came into the political process for the first time. And they realized that by making their voices heard, they could make a difference. Now I am a member of the Charlottesville City Council, working to bring that same spirit to a local level - to make sure the voice of the people is heard in City Hall.
